Short-Term Therapy Success

James D. came to Franklin Simpson Nursing and Rehab in May of this year, after a short acute care stay in the hospital from increased weakness and frequent falls at home. With evaluation of therapy services, Mr. D. needed moderate help with tfs, walking, balance tasks, and ADLs due to weakness and instability in standing with a high fall risk. James (aka “Bubba”) worked hard in both PT and OT every day to return his level of strength and function, as well as reduce fall risk. Pleased to report, he has reached his goals in both therapies and has been released from rehab independently with his ADLs and walking around the facility with improved balance and stability.
