Letter from the Administrator

Greetings!

I Hope this New Year finds everyone off to a good start! We have some exciting new things going on here at FSNR that we are looking forward to in the upcoming months. I would first like to give a BIG “thank you” to all the organizations, Lowe’s, Home Instead Senior Care, Sheldon’s Pharmacy, Franklin Bank and Trust, Alpha Baptist Church and Harvesters Church that helped to see that our residents had a wonderful Christmas! It’s partnerships like this we depend on to provide for our residents. We are forever grateful that you choose us!

We are in the process of remodeling our therapy department. We will be providing therapy in two designated areas. One of the areas will offer physical therapy services while the other area will cater towards our “Rehab to Home” program that will help residents with their everyday activities to promote the safest possible discharge back to the community. Our speech department has recently implemented Synchrony and PENS unit to assist in the treatment of dysphagia (eating and swallowing difficulties). The therapy department is already off to an amazing start this year.

This year we encourage you come and enjoy a meal every so often with your loved one. There is no charge for you to come in and enjoy. We also will be having a movie every evening in our new activity location. Please feel free to come in and watch with your family member.

This will be the last newsletter in this format. Going forward into the year we will have a resident driven newsletter. Ms. Gertha E., our current Resident Council President, has graciously except the position of Editor and Chief of our newsletter.

These are just a few of the great things going on here at FSNR. There more things to come as the year unfolds. We hope your year is off to great start also, we wish you and yours many blessings!

If I can be of any help in any way, please don’t hesitate to ask!
