Short-Term Therapy Success

Billie came to us in June after a fall at home which caused her to break her foot. She had surgery to repair the bones and had to be non weight bearing for 3 months. With Ms. Spencer’s precautions in place, and needing to wear a boot, she was unable to care for herself at home. She required assistance for basic ADLs such as dressing and grooming, as well as assistance for standing, transfers, and relearning to walk. Billie worked daily with Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy to regain independence while her foot healed. With her hard work and dedication, she was able to build up her strength and endurance to perform activities of daily living, as well as being able to tolerate standing activities. We are pleased to report that Ms. Spencer was able to go home on August 26, 2025, being independent using a hemi-walker. She surpassed her own goals by performing stairs and walking further distances than she was at home prior to her injury.
Congrats Billie! We are so proud of you!
