Resident and Employee of the Month: A Beautiful Friendship
In July we have decided not only to celebrate Resident and Employee of the month, but also to use this as an opportunity to celebrate an amazing friendship that has blossomed in our facility. We have been aware for a long time that our therapy team here at Franklin-Simpson goes above and beyond the call of duty, but in the last few months, we have had the pleasure of watching one of our therapy team members and one of our residents become particularly close. Jon, one of our physical therapist, and Joe D., this years Franklin-Simpson Homecoming King, have made many trips together to our facilities front porch. Joe frequently looks for someone to accompany him to sit outside and get some fresh air, and a few months ago, Jon became Joe’s go to person. Joe and Jon can be seen hanging out on the front porch multiple times a day. This new relationship has not only helped Joe to get more time outside, but has also helped Joe come out of his shell even more than before and improved his overall mood. We are so thankful to have residents like Joe who interact so openly with us, and staff like Jon who are willing to take time out of their busy schedule to help make our resident’s lives better.
